Former miss world and Indian actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan makes a grand entry in the Disney. Aishwarya Rai is ready to lend her voice to the Hindi version of the film Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan took to Instagram to share the Hindi teaser of the upcoming film Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil. Aishwarya captioned the video “Maleficent. Happy to be part of the Disney Family”.
Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil is a sequel of Maleficent.
Maleficent is a 2014 American dark fantasy film directed by Robert Stromberg and starring Angelina Jolie as the title character. The story takes inspiration from the 1959 animated classic, Sleeping Beauty but from the perspective of the villainous Maleficent. It began filming in June 2012 and was released on May 30, 2014, in 3D. It was produced by Joe Roth and directed by Robert Stromberg. The song for the film is “Once upon A dream”, which is performed by Lana Del Rey. The film received mixed reviews from critics but was a box office and commercial success, grossing $758 million worldwide, making it Angelina Jolie’s highest-grossing film to date.
The Hindi teaser of film Maleficent was released on Wednesday night and it has received more than one lakh likes on Aishwarya’s Instagram account. The 1-minute-11-second video was appreciated by a lot of fans. Along with her fans, her dear husband Abhishek Bachchan also praised her, he found it really cool.
Abhishek Bachchan took to Twitter to share the teaser of Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil, and captioned as, “How cool is this!!! @DisneyIndia #MaleficentMistressOfEvil #TheMrs.”
Talking about selecting Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for the Hindi version of the film, Disney India head Mr. Bikram Duggal told news agency IANS: “Looking at how Angelina Jolie fits Maleficent’s role down to the letter, it was hard to imagine anyone else essaying the character other than Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for our local audience. We wanted to bring her character to life in Hindi and felt Aishwarya’s persona, which is filled with elegance and poise, would be a perfect blend.”
In the trailer, Maleficent reveals that Princess Aurora played by Elle Fanning is all set to get married. But by the looks of it, Maleficent doesn’t plan on letting the union happen. In the teaser, Aishwarya is acing the look of the evil fairy in the black attire. The teaser starts with the appearance of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan saying ” Sabne mera pyar dekha hai.. ab dekhenge mera gussa, meri nafrat”.
With striking green eyes, a sharp red lip and severe updo, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan makes a convincing Maleficent. Delivering one menacing line after another, the star commands the set in black feather-detailed robes. At the end of the teaser she says” Pariyon ki Kahani se pare .. ye hai maleficent ki Kahani..!!”
Over the years, We have seen Rai Bachchan played some memorable roles, but Maleficent: Mistress of Evil’s shows us a new side of the star that’s never been seen before. Isn’t it exciting to watch her in a negative character?
