Durga Puja, or Navratri, is the Indian festival of nine holy nights which celebrates the victory of the Goddess Shakti over evil. The days fall on the nine auspicious days as per the lunar calendar of Hinduism. … The nine nights (nav ratris) of the festival commemorate the nine avatars of Goddess Durga.On Monday, devotees celebrated Durga Puja or Maha Navmi. While the whole of India is busy celebrating the festive season, the B-town is not far behind.

Durga Puja celebrations were in full swing on Monday as many Bollywood celebrities offered prayers to goddess Durga in Mumbai. The celebrations continue this week. Celebs like Kajol, Rani Mukherjee, Alia Bhatt, Hritik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, and others seek Durga Maa’s blessings in Durga puja.
